THE LONGEST DAY are an alternative rock band hailing from Dorset, UK. Having recently released their debut album, "A State Of Indifference", mixed by Romesh Dodangoda (Funeral For a Friend, Lost Prophets), mastered by Mandy Parnell (Sigur Ros, Faithless) and featuring stunning cover art by Marvel Comics & 2000AD artist Boo Cook (Judge Dredd, Wolverine), the band are going from strength to strength, carving a strong following in and around their local scene and regularly venturing to venues around the UK. 2010 was a busy year for the band - a notable achievement amongst others was being crowned winners of the Dorset Music Awards; a competition that saw over 100 unsigned acts fighting to perform at the grand final in front of Ryan Farley, Warner A&R Scout, and John Webster, founder of the Mercury Music Award! 2011 will see the band continue to write new material in preparation for a second release, whilst expanding their fanbase with a string of live UK dates. |
